If you have an F.P.E. panel it should be changed soon, But under no circumstances let anyone change it without a PERMIT your homeowners insurer will want to see it (We provide a copy of the permit ,the final inspection results and a letter to your insurer).
If you are getting your electric service upgraded be sure a permit is pulled and final inspection is passed ,The power company can deny service without it.
Anyone providing electrical service or repairs should be licensed. Having unlicensed work on your property could result in denial of coverage should a claim arise.
Anyone working on your property should have General liability ,workers comp, and business Auto insurance so you are fully covered in the event of an accident.
